Also known as: PrEP Blood Test Panel, PrEP 3-Month Monitoring Tests, PrEP Follow-Up Lab Tests, PrEP Kidney and Liver Check, PrEP screening, PrEP test, PrEP labs
Measures/Identifies
Confirms HIV-negative status, detects sexually transmitted infections, and evaluates kidney and liver function to ensure safe and continued use of PrEP medication.
Who is it for?
Intended for individuals currently taking PrEP who require routine monitoring as part of their HIV prevention plan.
Why this test?
This panel is designed for individuals who are using or planning to start Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) as part of their HIV prevention strategy. It includes testing for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), as well as assessment of kidney and liver function to ensure the medication remains safe and appropriate. International guidelines recommend laboratory monitoring every 90 days (3 months) while taking PrEP. Regular testing confirms HIV-negative status, allows early detection of infections, and monitors organ function during treatment.
